Sustainability Projects:
Sustainability is integral to our Company strategy, guiding every aspect of our business to contribute to our overarching sustainability agenda.
CARBON EMISSIONS:
We actively monitor our climate risks and have developed targets and strategies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Maintaining a green environment at Qcil, we have established a green belt covering 30% of the factory area to act as a carbon sink. Our tree planting initiatives are aimed at sequestering carbon and enhancing our premises' greenery.
WATER CONSUMPTION:
Through our rainwater harvesting system and recycling of reverse osmosis water, we have achieved a 10% reduction in consumption of fresh water from the grid.
WASTE WATER TREATMENT:
At our Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), wastewater goes through primary, secondary and tertiary treatment stages and the final treated wastewater, as per regulatory compliance parameters, is recycled to the wash areas and green belt irrigation on the premises.
WASTE MANAGEMENT AND SEGREGATION:
The newly constructed scrap store helps us further segregate our waste in order to identify what qualifies for reuse, recycle, or resale.
