Quality Chemical Industries Limited (Qcil) is proud to announce that its Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Frederick Kakooza, has received the Compliance and Governance Award at the 9th ACCA Deloitte CFO Awards. The award recognises his exceptional leadership in promoting strong financial governance, transparency, and ethical management at Qcil.
This year’s event, organised by ACCA Uganda and Deloitte Uganda, drew a record 546 nominations from 63 finance leaders under the theme “CFO Vision: Creating Impact and Legacy.” The awards celebrate finance professionals who demonstrate integrity, foresight, and accountability in driving organisational excellence.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this award,” said Mr. Kakooza. “It reflects the dedication of our entire Qcil finance team to building systems that promote transparency and doing the right thing every day.”


With almost 20 years of experience in financial management and governance, Mr. Kakooza has been instrumental in shaping Qcil’s culture of accountability, efficiency, and ethical excellence. His leadership has strengthened the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in Uganda’s health and manufacturing sectors.
The 2025 Uganda CFO Awards recognised finance professionals in nine categories, including Compliance and Governance, Strategy Execution, Finance Transformation and Technology, and Sustainability. The CFO of the Year Award went to Mr. Peter Ssenyange of Pearl Bank Uganda.
In his keynote address, Mr. Patrick Ayota, Managing Director of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), praised finance leaders for their role in driving long term impact and sustainable value, highlighting the “human side of financial leadership that inspires, builds trust, and leaves a lasting legacy.”
